About The Position

Memorial Hospital Belleville is hiring a PRN (as-needed) Food Service Worker for its Food & Nutrition Department, which provides nutrition services to patients, staff, and visitors, along with vending and catering services. The role performs a variety of food-service functions, including setting up service areas, portioning and serving food, operating a cash register, assembling patient trays, and responding to customer requests. Food preparation may also be required at some locations.

The position supports safe, high-quality food service by following food-safety and portion guidelines, assembling meals according to menus and diet orders, keeping work areas and supplies organized, and cleaning and sanitizing workstations and utensils. The role uses equipment and materials properly and safely. This position is PRN and is not eligible for benefits.

Requirements

• No supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly customer service and follow food-safety and portion guidelines.
• Assemble meals according to the menu, diet order, and correct protocol.
• Set up the work area and organize supplies and products before, during, and after the shift.
• Clean and sanitize the workstation and utensils.
• Use equipment and materials properly and safely.
