About The Position

Under general supervision of the Food Service Director or designee, the Food Service Worker I performs daily food service activities, assists in preparing school meals, and serves meals to students and site staff. The role also performs routine cleaning tasks in a school cafeteria, cooking kitchen, or production kitchen, and related work as required. This is an entry-level position in the food service class and is typically part-time.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Upon conditional offer, complete a Department of Justice criminal background check.
• Upon conditional offer, provide a TB test completed within the past 60 days.
• Upon conditional offer, complete district-mandated training, including Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment training.
• Obtain and maintain a First Aid/CPR certificate through in-person training only.
• Complete a pre-employment physical evaluation conducted through the District, with a 31-pound minimum.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial food service experience preferred.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.
