Food Service Tech
About The Position
NHC HealthCare Lawrenceburg is seeking a dependable, caring, and team-oriented Food Service Tech to support meal service for patients and residents and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. This part-time role is scheduled for the AM shift, 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the potential to transition to full-time based on staffing needs and availability. The role assists with meal preparation and service, tray preparation and delivery, dining room setup and cleanup, dishwashing, food storage, and maintaining sanitary kitchen and dining areas. The Food Service Tech follows food safety, sanitation, infection-control, and safety procedures while providing courteous service to patients, residents, families, visitors, and coworkers. Previous food service or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Available to work the scheduled AM shift from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and serving meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.
- Prepare meal trays and help ensure meals are delivered accurately and on time.
- Assist with breakfast and lunch meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
- Assist with dining room setup and maintain an organized dining environment.
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment.
- Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dining, storage, and food preparation areas.
- Properly store food and supplies and follow safe food handling practices.
- Follow sanitation, infection control, safety, and NHC procedures.
- Provide courteous service to patients, residents, families, visitors, and fellow partners.
- Assist the dietary team with additional duties as assigned.
