Food Service Team Member
About The Position
The Food Service Team Member is cross-trained between food service and front-of-store duties and helps create an exceptional customer experience. The role involves preparing food, assisting customers, keeping the store looking its best, and supporting store operations in a fast-paced environment. Team Members demonstrate Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors, transition between tasks as needed, and adapt to changing situations. The stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may include nights, weekends, and holidays. A food handler permit is required if applicable to the store, county, or jurisdiction. The position involves frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, and other physical activities, and may require moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees must work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

- Hold a food handler permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
- Meet the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and potentially lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and help keep the store running smoothly.
- Transition between roles, including engaging customers, stocking supplies, and maintaining food displays.
- Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
- Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
- Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
