About The Position

The Food Service Representative delivers patient trays during meal service within established time frames, ensuring therapeutic accuracy and standards for quality, freshness, taste, and appearance. The role also assists with food production and assembly processes.

The position is based at Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is full-time, evening shift, with varied days. A high school diploma or GED and coursework or specialized training in food and nutrition are preferred. Healthcare food service experience and a Food Handler’s Card are listed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient trays during meal service within established time frames while meeting therapeutic accuracy, quality, freshness, taste, and appearance standards.
• Announce oneself before entering patient rooms using AIDET protocols and assist patients with their trays when requested.
• Provide patient-focused customer service using ICARE protocols.
• Demonstrate nutrition understanding and discuss suitable menu selections with patients to meet therapeutic diet requirements when needed.
• Respond promptly to nursing staff needs related to patient food care.
• Deliver tube feeds to the appropriate galley.
• Stock and restock the assigned tray-line workstation during meal service and at the end of the shift.
• Follow Maricopa County Health Department Food Code sanitation standards and maintain the assigned work area accordingly.
• Assist with food production and assembly processes.
