About The Position

The Food Service Operations Rep assembles, prepares, serves, and delivers trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, hospital floors, and other customers or clients. The role responds to patient, nursing, and other customer food-service requests in a friendly, cheerful, patient, and customer-focused manner. It also collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service and assists with sanitation throughout the department, including pots, the dish room, trash, floors, and assigned special cleaning. Other duties may be assigned.

This is a full-time position at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland, with a rotating shift and a commitment to work every other weekend. The listed pay range is $18.00–$21.42 per hour, with pay based on experience, skills, education, and location.

Requirements

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent; four years of work-related experience is also stated in the minimum qualifications.
• Communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously by telephone, in person, and in writing.
• Read, comprehend, and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
• Perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Use common sense to carry out written and oral instructions and solve problems.
• Use kitchen, trayline, and warewashing equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is desired.

Responsibilities
