About The Position

The Food Service Operations Rep assembles, prepares, serves, and delivers trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors, and other customers or clients. The role responds to patient, nursing, and other customer food service requests in a friendly, cheerful, patient, and customer-focused manner. It also involves collecting trays and items for transport to Food Service and helping sanitize the department, including pots, the dish room, trash areas, floors, and other assigned areas.

Requirements

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent, or have four years of work-related experience.
• Communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously by telephone, in person, and in writing.
• Read, comprehend, and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
• Perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Use common sense when carrying out written and oral instructions and solving problems.
• Use kitchen, trayline, and warewashing equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, prepare, serve, and deliver trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors, and other customers or clients.

• Assist with sanitation throughout the department, including pots, the dish room, trash, floors, and special cleaning as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
