About The Position

Prepares, presents, and serves food in a fast-food or casual setting at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. This part-time role is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and pays $13.50 per hour. The employer offers a meal plan and is willing to train. The position supports Morrison Healthcare’s work nourishing patients, caregivers, and communities while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience is preferred.
Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and warmly.
Take food orders and efficiently relay them to back-of-the-house staff.
Understand menu items and ingredients.
Coordinate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are accommodated.
Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Relay relevant information to the supervisor.
Cook fast-food items in compliance with safety and safe food-handling standards.
Perform light cleaning, including sweeping and mopping, to maintain sanitation and safety.
Keep equipment, the work area, and facilities clean and orderly.
Perform sales transactions promptly and reasonably.
Ring up all items sold and obtain customer signatures.
Account for assigned change, funds, and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer is in compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
