About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager and helps ensure the café’s day-to-day operations run smoothly. In the General Manager’s absence, the Assistant Manager acts as Manager on Duty and performs café duties and responsibilities as a member of the café staff. The role is at Bean Sprouts Café inside the New Children’s Museum. Bean Sprouts is a women-owned café concept located in family destinations, with a focus on serving appealing, health-conscious food to children and families.

Requirements

One or more years of food service experience.
One or more years of supervisory experience.
Manager’s Food Safety Certification; the employer will help the employee obtain one if needed.
Able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for 4 to 8 hours, with or without accommodation.
Motivated self-starter dedicated to providing an excellent customer experience.
Successful passage of a criminal background screen is required for position eligibility.

Responsibilities

Support the Café Manager in day-to-day café operations.
Create a positive and playful work environment aligned with Bean Sprouts’ core values.
Help provide an excellent guest experience.
Ensure menu items are consistently prepared and served according to Bean Sprouts Café recipes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
Assist with training, ordering, inventory, and waste control.
Act as Manager on Duty in the General Manager’s absence.
Perform café duties and responsibilities as a member of the café staff.
