About The Position

Columbia Cottage is hiring a Food Service Coordinator /Cook to prepare meals for residents of its assisted living community in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The cook prepares food for approximately 40–50 residents, follows recipes, presents meals attractively, serves residents, and cleans and organizes the kitchen after meals. The position supports residents’ quality of life through wholesome meals and attentive service.

The role offers a starting wage of $17 per hour, depending on experience and education. Full-time shifts are available, with hours that vary between 8- and 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cooking experience for large groups.
• Reliability, dedication, excellent time management, ability to self-initiate tasks, ability to work with limited supervision, and self-motivation.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for approximately 40–50 assisted living residents.
• Prep food, follow recipes, and assemble meals in an appealing manner.
• Serve meals and interact with residents.
• Clean and organize the kitchen after meal service.
