About The Position

Columbia Cottage is hiring a Food Service Coordinator / Cook to prepare meals for residents of its assisted living community in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The role involves preparing appealing, wholesome meals for approximately 40–50 residents, following recipes, presenting and serving meals, interacting with residents, and cleaning and organizing the kitchen after service. The position calls for reliability, dedication, strong time management, self-motivation, and the ability to initiate tasks and work with limited supervision.

The position is offered full-time, with shifts varying between 8 and 12 hours. Starting pay is $17 per hour, depending on experience and education.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cooking experience for large groups.
• Reliability, dedication, excellent time management, and self-motivation.
• Ability to self-initiate tasks and work well under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for approximately 40–50 assisted living residents.
