About The Position

The Food Service Clerk serves prepared goods to customers at the Food Service counter. The role involves responding to customer requests, preparing and presenting food products, and maintaining counter supplies and displays. The clerk is expected to provide exceptional customer service by following established policies and demonstrating a positive, respectful, and flexible attitude.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to use a slicer to cut weighable products.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Required close and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the Food Service counter by listening to requests and obtaining the desired products.
• Answer the telephone and take orders when necessary.
• Itemize prices for counter goods.
• Use a slicer properly to cut weighable products.
• Wrap and/or box and label products.
• Make sandwiches and prepare lunch and dinner specials.
• Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on the counter and tables to promote sales.
• Stock and replenish products, napkins, condiments, waxed paper, and other items needed at the Food Service counter.
• Provide customer service that exceeds customer expectations, following established policies and demonstrating a positive attitude, respect, and flexibility.
