About The Position
Provides routine food service support under close supervision to meet food service demands. Tasks include preparing patient trays, assisting with food preparation, replenishing supplies, washing dishes and equipment, serving food, and operating cafeteria equipment such as cash registers in cash-handling and patient-tray service areas. Maintains sanitation of food service areas and equipment and follows stringent food-handling procedures. The role includes a variety of shifts: 5:30 a.m.–2 p.m., 6 a.m.–2:30 p.m., or 10:30 a.m.–7 p.m. The position is at Backus Hospital.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic math skills.
- Wear appropriate shoes and personal protective equipment, including gloves, in food service areas to avoid injury.
