About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise is hiring a full-time Food Service Associate for its Food and Nutrition Services Department. The role prepares and assembles food for patients on regular and modified diets and for cafeteria customers, delivers and retrieves patient food trays, serves cafeteria customers, and cleans and sanitizes food-service equipment and work areas. The associate may help in the dish room and may be asked to shuttle food products to locations off the main hospital campus. The position is scheduled for at least 40 hours per week; schedules may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays and are subject to change.

Requirements

Basic reading and oral communication competency.
Ability to operate equipment used by Food Service staff.
Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines to keep equipment clean.
A valid Idaho driver's license and acceptable driver's license record if shuttling food products off campus is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous food service experience is helpful.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
