About The Position

The Food Service Assistant I works with food service staff and students in a supportive school environment at Forest Hills Elementary. The role follows the school calendar during the school year and is scheduled for 172 working days per year. The position is 0.5 hours per day, from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., with a pay rate of $22.38. Some food preparation may be required. Job offers are conditional on passing a pre-employment criminal background check and physical abilities test, as well as approval by the ISD 272 School Board.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent is desired.
• Knowledge of standard cooking skills is desired.
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation is desired.
• Demonstrated aptitude for successful performance of tasks is desired.
• Ability to interact with staff in a cooperative and positive manner is desired.
• Pass a pre-employment criminal background check and physical abilities test.
• Obtain ISD 272 School Board approval.
