About The Position

St. Barnabas Health System is seeking Food Service Assistants for Beaver Meadows. The role works with food and beverage supplies and supports meal service for residents. Shifts are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening, with no late nights. The position may be full-time or part-time, and pay is $13.00–$15.00 per hour based on experience. The assistant maintains clean and sanitized work areas, kitchen equipment, and dining-related items; follows food service standards and posted cleaning schedules; operates the dishwasher; disposes of trash; and helps deliver meals and take meal orders. The role also involves interacting with team members, other staff, and residents, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Be able to move at least 50 lbs.
Be able to remain in a stationary position.
Be able to stoop and kneel depending on the job.
Be able to reach and lift kitchen equipment.
Be able to navigate and move about the facility to deliver meals and take meal orders.

Responsibilities

Handle food and beverage supplies, including trays, carafes, coffee pots, plates, silverware, dishes, and glassware.
Adhere to and apply Food Server Standards of Excellence.
Interact with team members, other staff, and residents.
Clean work areas and equipment; clean and sanitize the kitchen after each meal and complete assigned daily cleaning.
Follow posted schedules for cleaning major equipment, work areas, and storage areas.
Operate the dishwasher and dispose of trash.
Wash, clean, and sanitize pots and pans.
Bus dishes, trays, and food in dining rooms.
Load, unload, and clean food carts.
Sweep and mop floors.
Deliver meals and take meal orders.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
