About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking a hardworking, professional Part-Time Food Service Aide. Park Place of Elmhurst offers a continuum of care, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support, and is part of Providence Life Services. The role provides assistance with dietary functions in accordance with established policies and procedures. The position pays $15.00–$17.20 per hour.

Requirements

• Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, and fingerprint-based criminal background check, and successfully complete a reference check.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
• Must have a Food Handler Certification or Serve Safe Certification, or obtain one within 90 days of hire; certification must remain current throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
• Assist with serving meals promptly and as needed.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment and supplies.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room.
• Serve food in the dining room as instructed.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as scheduled.
