Food Service Aide - Part Time
About The Position
Fort HealthCare is seeking a Food Service Aide to join its Food Service team. The role performs patient tray setup and delivery, as well as cleaning and sanitation duties for food service areas and equipment. The position is part time, 32 hours bi-weekly, with a day shift from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a weekend and holiday rotation. Responsibilities
- Check patient trays for order accuracy, deliver trays to patients, respond to additional patient requests, track tray delivery, and pick up trays from nursing units.
- Verify patient identification according to proper procedures before tray delivery.
- Set up the dish room; collect and wash dishes using the proper process and operate the dish machine.
- Perform daily cleaning of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Record dish machine temperature and the pH of three-compartment sinks.
- Return clean dishware, utensils, pots, and pans to appropriate cafeteria and kitchen areas.
- Empty kitchen and dish room garbage and place it in the proper area.
- Answer the telephone and respond appropriately to requests.
- Refill hand towel and soap dispensers as needed.
