About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking a part-time Food Service Aide. The position provides assistance with dietary functions in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. Park Place of Elmhurst offers a continuum of care, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support, and is part of Providence Life Services.

Requirements

• Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, and fingerprint-based criminal background check, and successfully complete a reference check.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
• Must possess Food Handler Certification or Serve Safe Certification, or obtain one within 90 days of hire; certification must remain current throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment and supplies.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room, and serve food in the dining room as instructed.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as scheduled.
• Provide assistance in dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
