About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Food Service Aide performs patient food service, dining room, and dish room duties. The role supports food preparation and serves prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors, while assisting with cleanup. The position is full-time in Akron, Ohio, with compensation of $15.59 to $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient food services, dining room services, and dish room services.
• Assist with food preparation and serve prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with cleanup.
• Prepare food in a timely and efficient manner while providing high-quality food preparation and service.
• Complete scheduled procedures during the shift without compromising work quality.
• Help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
