About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Food Service Aide performs patient food service, dining room, and dish room duties, helping prepare and serve food to patients, families, staff, and visitors and assisting with cleanup. The role requires timely, efficient, and high-quality food preparation and service, completion of scheduled procedures during the shift without compromising work quality, and willingness to help in other kitchen areas when necessary.

• Previous healthcare food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient food services, dining room services, and dish room services.
• Assist with food preparation and serve prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with cleanup.
• Prepare food in a timely and efficient manner while providing high-quality preparation and service.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
• Help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
