About The Position

The Food Service Aide/Dietary Aide provides patient food, dining room, and dish room services at a critical illness recovery hospital serving chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The role supports food preparation and service for patients, families, staff, and visitors, as well as kitchen cleanup. The aide is expected to prepare and serve food in a timely, efficient, safe, and high-quality manner, complete scheduled procedures during the shift without compromising work quality, and help in other kitchen areas when needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient food services, dining room services, and dish room services.
• Assist with food preparation and serve prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with cleanup.
• Prepare food in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high-quality preparation and service.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising quality of work.
• Help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
