Food Service Aide / Full-Time
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital - Savannah is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Food Service Aide performs patient food, dining room, and dish room services. The role contributes to food preparation, serves prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors, and assists with cleanup. The aide is expected to prepare and serve food efficiently and to a high standard, complete scheduled procedures during the shift without compromising work quality, help in other kitchen areas as needed, and operate equipment safely.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient food services, dining room services, and dish room services.
- Assist with food preparation and serve prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors.
- Assist with cleanup.
- Prepare food in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide high-quality food preparation and service.
- Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising work quality.
- Help in other kitchen areas when necessary.
- Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
