About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - The Villages is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Food Service Aide/Dietary Aide supports patient food service, dining room, and dish room operations. The role contributes to food preparation and serves prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors, while also assisting with cleanup. This is a PRN/per diem position in Oxford, Florida, paying $18.00 per hour. The employer offers an extensive orientation program and potential advancement to full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) eligibility after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient food service, dining room, and dish room services.
• Assist with food preparation and serve prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with cleanup.
• Prepare food in a timely and efficient manner and provide high-quality food preparation and service.
• Complete scheduled procedures during the shift without compromising work quality.
• Volunteer to help in other kitchen areas when necessary.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
