About The Position

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring part-time Food Runners at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The Food Runner expedites food from the kitchen to guests as quickly as possible and supports service in the arena’s suites. This is a tipped position; the listed hourly minimum pay does not include potential tipped earnings.

Delaware North is the concessions and retail partner at Bridgestone Arena, where it manages concession outlets and four clubs, including an exclusive lounge offering an all-inclusive food and beverage experience. The position offers training and development opportunities and mentorship.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for set-up, service, and clean-up.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience or training as a Runner or Busser in a similar style of dining, capacity, and volume is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-shift briefings and note important service information.
• Collaborate with the Chef, kitchen team members, and servers to ensure timely food preparation and delivery; assist with course presentation.
• Complete required table-side service, which may include taking and delivering orders and explaining the menu to guests.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparations, and identify items and ingredients by appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and suites.
