About The Position

Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton, Florida, is hiring a part-time Food Runner to support dining-room service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Food Runner prepares and maintains service materials, sets tables and the outside line, organizes and delivers food according to tickets, and helps keep dining areas and workstations clean, stocked, and ready for operation. The role also assists servers and incorporates safe work practices.

Requirements

One month of related experience or training.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, cleanliness, and neatness.
Regular and reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Ensure materials used by servers are clean and ready for daily operation.
Know the position of each diner’s chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
Set the outside line with underliner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and other items needed to deliver food.
Organize plates in the service window and match them to tickets before running food to tables.
Set tables in accordance with Troon Golf standards.
Ensure each menu item is prepared exactly as specified on its ticket; consult the chef before delivery if an item does not meet the specifications.
Fill and refill water glasses and remove unused place settings.
Clear dishes from guests’ places after each course.
Clear and reset tables when guests leave, including changing tablecloths, brushing chairs, positioning chairs, and replacing silverware, glassware, and napkins.
Assist servers as needed.
Keep workstations stocked with items and ingredients.
Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
Perform other duties as required.
