About The Position
The Food Runner is responsible for ensuring proper table settings, delivering food orders efficiently, and maintaining guest satisfaction. This role involves presenting food items, confirming guest satisfaction, refreshing beverages, and assisting with initial guest complaints. The Food Runner also plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dining areas and side stations.
Requirements
- Previous Food-Runner Experience or Food and Beverage experience required.
- Must have an excellent upbeat attitude with the ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms.
- Must wear black slip-resistant shoes as part of their uniform.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper flatware and appropriate plates are on the table prior to food delivery.
- Pick up orders, allowing for proper distribution.
- Present each item and confirm guest satisfaction, offering any additional services.
- Serve ladies first, then men, and finally the host.
- Serve all food from the right with the right hand.
- Refresh all beverages and offer to replenish cocktail orders.
- Ensure tables are properly set, side stations are clean, and side work is properly completed.
- Assist with initial guest complaints and inform the manager on duty immediately.
- Maintain side stations in a clean and orderly manner.
- Maintain prescribed par stock levels in side stations.
- Pre-bus tables as guests finish their dishes.
- Assist with proper stock rotation.
- Keep the dining room floor clean and free of excess debris/liquids at all times.
- Polish silverware.
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
