About The Position

The Food Runner greets residents and guests, learns residents’ names, describes dishes, and provides menu information. The role expedites food from the service window and delivers it to tables and the pool deck. It also includes clearing and cleaning dining areas, resetting tables, replenishing supplies, cleaning service areas and equipment, preparing coffee and iced tea, and assisting with floor cleaning. Other duties may be assigned by management. The schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays and requires flexibility.

Responsibilities

Greet residents and guests and learn residents’ names.
Describe dishes and provide menu information to residents and guests.
Expedite food from the service window to guests.
Deliver food to tables and the pool deck.
Carry dirty dishes from the dining room and pool deck to the kitchen.
Clean tabletops and chairs with sanitizer.
Replace soiled table linens and set tables with silverware and glassware.
Replenish clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in the dining room.
Clean and polish glass shelves, service-area doors, and equipment such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers.
Make coffee and iced tea.
Assist with sweeping and mopping kitchen and dining-room floors.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
