About The Position

The Food Runner assists servers and bartenders, when applicable, in providing courteous and efficient food and beverage service according to restaurant specifications. The role helps maintain clean tables and service areas and keeps service wares and equipment stocked. Food Runners provide attentive hospitality to guests and work collaboratively with the restaurant team in a fast-paced environment. The position is onsite and requires late-night and holiday availability. The Madrona is a 22-room hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant, part of Mosaic Hotel Group and Palisades Hospitality.

Requirements

• At least six months of prior experience as a Food Runner.
• Satisfactory English communication skills.
• Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to anticipate and understand guests' service needs.
• Ability to stay organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly while serving guests.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions thoroughly.
• Ability to exert strong physical effort transporting supplies and trays, and to endure frequent physical movement throughout work areas.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Availability to work late nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers and bartenders, when applicable, with quality food and beverage service according to restaurant specifications.
• Serve guests courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and equipment.
• Stock wares and equipment needed for service.
• Transport supplies from the storeroom to the restaurant and carry trays of equipment, food, and beverages to and from the dining room.
• Work cohesively with coworkers and help teammates as needed.
