About The Position

The Food Production Specialist supports production for key items across the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments. The role also helps guests locate products and create meal solutions, while ensuring products are properly rotated and store cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent guest service and company standards.

The typical schedule is 3 am–11 am, with days off typically Sunday and Wednesday. The role requires flexibility to work weekends, days, evenings, and holidays as store needs change. A shift differential of an additional $2.00 per hour applies for hours worked between 12 am and 5 am.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a passion for providing extraordinary service.
• Be willing to work a 3 am–11 am schedule, with days off typically Sunday and Wednesday.
• Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements; grasp, bend, and reach; and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Be able to spend long periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to four hours or as required by law.
• Wear an approved hat, hair net and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Production Planning Software.

Responsibilities

• Handle production for key items to support the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments.
• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items throughout the store.
• Work across departments to assist guests in finding products and completing meal solutions.
• Inspect store products for proper rotation and ensure products are ready for guests.
• Follow cleaning and sanitation procedures and complete reports as necessary.
• Follow The Fresh Market's standards, policies, and protocols.
• Present oneself professionally, including adhering to uniform standards.
