About The Position

The Food Production Specialist handles production of key items to support the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments. The role helps guests find products and complete meal solutions, and ensures products are ready for guests by inspecting proper rotation and following cleaning and sanitation procedures. The specialist completes reports as necessary and follows The Fresh Market’s standards, policies, protocols, and uniform requirements. The position is scheduled from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m., typically with Sundays and Wednesdays off. The Fresh Market offers an additional $2.00 per hour for work between midnight and 5 a.m. The schedule may be flexible and include weekends, days, evenings, and holidays to meet store needs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in grocery, fresh food retail, hospitality, or a high-volume specialty retail environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and financial reporting.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle production for key items supporting the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments.
