About The Position

The Food Production Specialist handles production of key items to support the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments. The role also helps guests find products and complete meal solutions, maintains product knowledge across the store, and ensures products are properly rotated and store cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed. The position requires a professional manner and adherence to uniform standards and company policies and protocols.

The stated schedule is 3 a.m.–11 a.m., typically with Sundays and Wednesdays off. The position may require schedule flexibility, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays, based on store needs. A $2.00-per-hour shift differential applies between midnight and 5 a.m.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in grocery, fresh food retail, hospitality, or a high-volume specialty retail environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and financial reporting.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle production for key items supporting the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments.

• Assist guests across departments with finding products and completing meal solutions.
• Inspect products for proper rotation and ensure cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Complete reports as necessary.
• Follow The Fresh Market’s standards, policies, and protocols.
• Present professionally and adhere to uniform standards.
