About The Position

The Food Production Specialist supports production across the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments. The role is suited to a detail-oriented team member who prioritizes guests and enjoys production work on an early shift. The specialist also helps guests find products and complete meal solutions, maintains product quality and store standards, and presents professionally in accordance with uniform requirements. The typical schedule is 3 a.m. to 11 a.m., with days off typically Sunday and Wednesday. The position requires flexibility to work weekends, days, evenings, and holidays as store, guest, and team needs change. A shift differential of $2.00 per hour applies between midnight and 5 a.m.

Requirements

Passion for providing extraordinary service.
At least 18 years of age.
Willingness to work a 3 a.m.–11 a.m. schedule, with days off typically Sunday and Wednesday.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds alone.
Ability to work in exposure to extreme temperatures.
Ability to spend long periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to four hours or as required by law.
Ability to use knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Ability to wear an approved hat, hair net and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with production planning software.

Responsibilities

Handle production for key items supporting the Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments.
Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items throughout the store.
Assist guests across departments with finding products and completing meal solutions.
Inspect store products for proper rotation and ensure excellent products are ready for guests.
Follow cleaning and sanitation procedures and complete reports as necessary.
Follow The Fresh Market's standards, policies, and protocols.
Present professionally, including adhering to uniform standards.
