About The Position
Gordon Food Service Store is hiring a full-time Food Production Associate for its Maumee, Ohio store. The associate prepares food and beverages, follows food safety and sanitation procedures, and provides superior customer service. The role may also help with stocking, cashiering, and other food production tasks during slower periods. Duties include preparing sliced meats and cheeses, sandwiches and wraps; preparing ingredients for juices; using a rotisserie oven and broaster; checking food temperatures; and changing broaster oil. Employees must be at least 18 to operate the meat slicer. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and Easter. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age; operating the meat slicer requires being at least 18.
- Able to provide superior customer service.
- Able to multitask.
- Able to work independently or within a team.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sliced meats and cheeses, sandwiches, and wraps.
- Prepare ingredients used to make beverages for customers.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Help with stocking, cashiering, or other food production areas during down times.
- Use the rotisserie oven to cook food, up to three times per day.
- Use a broaster to cook chicken tenders, chicken wings, other chicken items, fish, and potato wedges as needed.
- Take temperatures of cooked and cold foods.
- Change oil in broasters.
- Provide superior customer service.
