About The Position

Gordon Food Service Store, the retail division of Gordon Food Service, is hiring a full-time Food Production Associate at its Maumee, Ohio store. The role supports food preparation and customer service in a fast-paced retail setting, with opportunities to learn and advance. The store is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and Easter. All Gordon Food Service locations are tobacco-free, and the company is a drug-free workplace.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Be able to multitask.
• Be able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Have basic math and computer skills.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sliced meats and cheeses, sandwiches, and wraps. Employees must be at least 18 to operate the meat slicer.
• Prepare ingredients for beverages and make juice.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Fill in with stocking, cashiering, and other food production work during down times.
• Use a rotisserie oven to cook food up to three times per day.
• Use a broaster to cook chicken tenders, chicken wings, other chicken items, fish, and potato wedges as needed.
• Take temperatures of cooked and cold foods.
• Change oil in broasters.
