About The Position

Gordon Food Service Store, the retail division of Gordon Food Service, is hiring a full-time Food Production Associate at its Knoxville, Tennessee store. The role involves preparing food for customers while contributing to a customer-focused retail environment. Associates may also help in stocking, cashiering, and other food production areas during slower periods. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age; operation of the meat slicer requires being at least 18.
• Be able to provide superior customer service.
• Be able to multitask.
• Be able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Have basic math and computer skills.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sliced meats and cheeses, sandwiches, and wraps.
• Prepare ingredients for customer beverages.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Help with stocking, cashiering, or other food production tasks during down times.
• Use a rotisserie oven to cook food up to three times per day.
• Use a broaster to cook chicken tenders, chicken wings, other chicken items, fish, and potato wedges as needed.
• Take temperatures of cooked and cold foods.
• Change oil in broasters.
• Provide superior customer service.
