About The Position

The Food Preparer is responsible for collecting, delivering, and restocking assigned floor pantries. The employee records the goods delivered to each pantry and obtains the authorizing floor attendant’s signature before submitting the forms to the main office. Some employees may also work on the tray line and complete assigned tasks before and after line assignments. The position includes transporting food trucks and/or food items to patient floors in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–1 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Pick up assigned order sheets for the day.
• Collect necessary items from the storeroom.
• Deliver assigned items and record the items and quantities already on hand, as well as those added to pantries and refrigerators.
• Keep assigned areas clean and notify the floor attendant about refrigerator temperature or other issues.
• Obtain the authorizing floor attendant’s confirmation and signature on dated requisition forms.
• Transport food trucks and/or food items to patient floors in a timely manner.
• Perform assigned tray-line tasks before and after line assignments, when assigned.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
