About The Position

The Food Preparer is responsible for collecting, delivering, and restocking assigned floor pantries. The employee records the goods delivered to each pantry and obtains the authorizing floor attendant’s signature on the applicable forms before submitting them to the main office. Some employees in this position may also perform assigned tasks on the tray line before and after line assignments. The role includes transporting food trucks and/or food items to patient floors in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–1 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Pick up assigned order sheets for the day.
• Collect necessary items from the storeroom.
• Deliver specified items and record the items and quantities already on hand and those added to pantries and refrigerators.
• Keep areas clean and notify the floor attendant of refrigerator temperature problems or other issues.
• Obtain the authorizing floor attendant’s confirmation and signature on dated requisition forms.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
• Transport food trucks and/or food items to patient floors in a timely manner.
• Perform assigned tray-line tasks before and after line assignments, where applicable.
