About The Position

The Food Preparer G is responsible for collecting, delivering, and restocking assigned floor pantries at Mount Sinai Hospital. The role includes recording goods delivered to each pantry and obtaining the authorizing floor attendant’s signature before submitting goods and forms to the main office. Some employees may also work on the tray line, completing assigned tasks before and after line assignments. The position transports food trucks and/or food items to patient floors in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–1 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Pick up assigned order sheets for the day.
• Collect necessary items from the storeroom.
• Deliver specified items and record which items and quantities are on hand and which items and quantities were added to pantries and refrigerators.
• Keep assigned areas clean and notify the floor attendant of refrigerator temperature or other issues.
• Obtain the authorizing floor attendant’s confirmation and signature on dated requisition forms.
• Transport food trucks and/or food items to patient floors in a timely manner.
• Perform assigned tray-line tasks before and after line assignments, when assigned.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
