About The Position

The Food & Beverage Supervisor works closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to oversee restaurant, bar, and banquet functions, ensuring high standards of food and beverage quality and service. The Supervisor covers the Food & Beverage Manager’s duties when needed and is responsible for the management of the restaurant, dining room, and function rooms.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous food and beverage experience.
Basic computer skills.
Professional written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Hotel & Restaurant Management.
Experience supervising a food and beverage team in a full-service boutique or luxury hotel environment.
Experience using Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of standard restaurant and bar operations technology, including Micros and Open Table.
Conversational ability in Spanish.
Active Food Handler’s certificate.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the restaurant, dining room, and function rooms.
Oversee the food and beverage team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and development.
Work with Human Resources and the Food & Beverage Manager to assist with recruiting, training, and performance management.
Motivate staff to provide excellent guest service.
Direct, implement, and maintain high-quality guest service.
Supervise cash-handling procedures.
Identify training opportunities through daily activities.
Evaluate food and beverage personnel performance and encourage improvement.
Encourage staff to view their responsibilities from the guests’ perspectives.
Communicate and collaborate with other hotel departments, including Sales, Restaurants, and Catering, to support seamless guest service and develop creative solutions for venue and event opportunities.
Cover the Food & Beverage Manager’s duties when needed.
