About The Position

The Food & Beverage Server maintains a clean, professional work area and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to patrons of the grill area. The role includes learning menu items, beverage brands, and cocktail recipes; following state alcohol-service regulations and the Steps of Service; collecting payment; and maintaining a clean bar and grill area. The server also performs assigned cleaning tasks, uses Micros and prepares end-of-shift reports, maintains regular attendance, and carries out reasonable management requests.

Requirements

• One year of previous bartending or serving experience in a hospitality environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Alcohol Awareness Certification.
• Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Learn and serve menu items, beverage brands, cocktail recipes, beers, wines, soda, water, sugars, and other prepared beverages.
• Follow all state regulations regarding alcohol service and consumption.
• Serve hot and cold food to guests in a timely manner.
• Follow the Steps of Service, including welcoming guests, upselling, establishing rapport, serving, pre-bussing, thanking guests, and inviting them back.
• Collect payment for beverages and food served in the pool grill area.
• Keep the area in and around the bar and grill clean and free of clutter.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned, in accordance with health standards.
• Maintain full knowledge of Micros and end-of-shift reports.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company standards.
• Carry out reasonable requests from management.
