About The Position

Wilderness Resort is seeking a hardworking, dependable, enthusiastic, customer-service-driven Restaurant Server for its quick-service dining outlets. The position is responsible for preparing food for guests and providing restaurant service. It may be full-time or part-time, with morning, night, and weekend availability. The role operates in a fast-paced team environment and may include other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and introduce yourself.
• Present menus, answer questions about menu and buffet items, make recommendations upon request, and inform guests of daily specials.
• Check guests’ identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages.
• Take food and beverage orders, recording, memorizing, or entering orders into computers for transmission to kitchen staff.
• Serve food and beverages, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
• Complete side work and prepare areas for the next shift.
• Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct problems.
• Clear dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Prepare itemized checks, total costs, and collect payments from guests.
• Advise a manager of potential concerns or issues related to excessive drinking to help limit problems and liability.
• Perform busser duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and presentable work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
