About The Position

Back Alley Bowling is seeking a Food & Beverage Server to provide guests with a memorable dining experience at their bowling lanes. The role involves delivering friendly, prompt service; maintaining clean and safe tables, bowling areas, and concourses; and demonstrating thorough knowledge of food, beverages, and specials. Servers are expected to suggest menu items, assist guests with the bowling scoring system, and promote the bowling center and its entertainment options. Applicants must be available nights and weekends.

Must be at least 18 years old.
Previous serving or restaurant experience is required.
RBS Certified.
California Food Handler Certificate.
Ability to stand and walk constantly, including up and down stairs; carry a tray; bend and lift constantly; lift or carry 10 pounds or less constantly and 21–50 pounds frequently.

Prior serving or bartending experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Build rapport with guests and create an enjoyable experience.
Recommend food and beverages, educating guests and encouraging sales.
Take accurate orders and promptly deliver food and drinks.
Promptly clear dirty or empty plates and glasses.
Present checks, collect payment, handle money, and make change accurately.
Ensure served food and beverages meet quality and freshness standards.
Maintain thorough knowledge of food, drink, and specials menus.
Prepare tables and bowling areas for arriving guests.
Maintain cleanliness of bowling and concourse areas.
Assist guests with the bowling scoring system as needed.
Verify guests’ legal age in connection with alcohol purchases.
Secure payment for all purchases.
Promote the bowling center and venue entertainment options.
Keep side stations clean, organized, and stocked during shifts.
Immediately report safety issues to management.
Complete assigned and ongoing side work, including special cleaning assignments.
