About The Position

The Food and Nutrition Food Service Worker I is a support services employee responsible for cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. The employee performs competencies listed on the Competency Checklist, meets mutually agreed-upon annual performance goals and objectives, and uses systems and processes to support patient safety, infection control, department security, and HIPAA guidelines. The position also requires following the department’s uniform and personal appearance standards, using proper processes to support patient, customer, and physician satisfaction, and fostering commitment to HCA’s vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Obtain a Food Handler or ServSafe certificate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Food & Nutrition Department.
• Distribute food and supplies.
• Demonstrate the competencies listed on the Competency Checklist.
• Meet mutually agreed-upon annual performance goals and objectives.
• Use systems and processes that support patient safety, infection control, department security, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow the department’s uniform and personal appearance standards.
• Use proper processes to support patient, customer, and physician satisfaction goals.
• Foster commitment to HCA’s vision, mission, and organizational values.
