About The Position

This position is responsible for the supervision of four unique business units (Quick Service Café, Quick Service Burger Restaurant, Full Service Lounge, & Banquet/Events Program) within the Happy Valley Day Lodge. The role requires a strong ability to stay focused and organized, leading a group of 30-40 staff in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high hospitality and service standards. Responsibilities include assisting in menu creation, scheduling, payroll, cash management, event planning & execution, inventory management and ordering, and other administrative functions. The supervisor is responsible for the safe and responsible service of alcohol, adhering to all liquor laws and license conditions. They will provide training and support to employees (Server, Hosts, Bussers, Bartenders, Support Team, Event Staff & F&B Attendants) to achieve guest satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves actioning building maintenance, risk management, daily communication with the management team through logs and verbal updates, managing employee success through one-on-ones and coaching, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and grooming. Participation in weekly management meetings to suggest improvements to guest experience is also expected.

Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment in a leadership role
  • Min 2yrs+ experience in full-service restaurant supervision
  • Min 2yrs+ experience in banquet/event supervision
  • High knowledge of Wine & Spirits
  • Experience in managing/working with a large group of seasonal staff
  • High knowledge of computers and Toast systems (or other POS systems)
  • High level of diplomacy and proven problem-solving skill dealing with teams and guests
  • Must be 19 years old
  • Have a Serving it Right Certificate

  • Experience in tips/gratuities an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily administrative duties relating to event management, ordering, requisitions and team development.
  • Assist in monthly inventory counts.
  • Provide on the floor supervision of the outlet and events while on shift.
  • Ensure staff are adhering to SWP& SJP training standards.
