About The Position

As a Flow Inventory Associate, you will help maintain CarMax’s vehicle inventory and customer experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The role includes vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, and uploading photos, with an emphasis on accuracy, organization, and meeting CarMax quality standards. You will work with a team focused on integrity, innovation, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records.
• Complete Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers.
• Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, ensuring display areas are clean and organized.
• Prepare vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming.
• Execute the photo station process for carmax.com listings.
• Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Benefits

• Paid sick time: eligible associates may accrue up to 48 hours per year.
• Paid vacation time: eligible associates receive between 80 and 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service.
• Paid scheduled holidays: eligible associates receive 8 hours of pay for each of 6 scheduled holidays per year, plus 1 floating holiday.
• Holiday Premium Pay may be available to eligible associates who work on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
• Full-time salaried associates receive paid time away, with no specified limit, for sick time, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays, subject to manager approval.
