About The Position

As a Flow Inventory Associate at CarMax, you will help maintain vehicle inventory and support the customer experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You will handle vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, and photo uploads to help ensure vehicles meet CarMax quality standards. The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing vehicles and title packets, and supporting repairs, storage, and auctions. You will follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records.
• Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers.
• Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, keeping display areas clean and organized.
• Prepare vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming.
• Complete the photo station process for carmax.com listings.
• Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Benefits

• Paid sick time: eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive associates can accrue up to 48 hours per year.
• Paid vacation: eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive associates receive 80 to 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on continuous service.
• Paid holidays: eligible associates receive 8 hours of pay for each of six scheduled paid holidays per year, plus one floating holiday.
• Holiday Premium Pay may be available when an associate works on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
• Full-time salaried associates receive paid time away as needed for sick time, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays, subject to manager approval.
