Flow Inventory Associate
About The Position
As a Flow Inventory Associate, you’ll help maintain CarMax’s vehicle inventory and customer experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You’ll handle vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, and photo uploads, ensuring vehicles meet CarMax’s quality standards. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards.
- Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records.
- Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes.
- Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers.
- Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, keeping display areas clean and organized.
- Prepare vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming.
- Complete the photo station process for carmax.com listings.
- Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
- Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Benefits
- Paid sick time: eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates can accrue up to 48 hours per year.
- Paid vacation: eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates receive 80 to 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service.
- Paid holidays: eligible associates receive 8 hours of pay for each of 6 scheduled holidays per year, plus 1 floating holiday.
- Holiday Premium Pay may be available when an associate works on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
- Full-time salaried associates receive paid time away, with no specified limit, as needed for sick leave, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays, subject to manager approval.
