About The Position

The Flow Inventory Associate helps maintain CarMax’s vehicle inventory and customer experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The role handles vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, vehicle preparation, and photo uploads, ensuring vehicles meet CarMax quality standards. Associates follow inventory processes and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements while supporting repairs, storage, and auction activity.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records.
• Complete Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned training.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers.
• Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, keeping display areas clean and organized.
• Prepare vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming.
• Complete the photo station process for carmax.com listings.
• Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
