About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring a Floor Technician to clean and maintain facilities at Valleywise Desert Vista BHC in Mesa, Arizona. The role may be assigned to any location on the client premises and includes routine floor care, project work, and related duties. The listed first-shift schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with availability to work weekends and holidays required. The technician monitors assigned areas and corridors, cleans hard floors and edges, removes marks and scuffs, and uses appropriate cleaning chemicals or floor-care machines. Project duties may include burnishing, scrubbing, and stripping floors. The role may also include Area Cleaner or Waste Disposal Technician duties as needed. The position requires a flu shot and 3–5 years of Floor Tech experience. Janitorial industry experience and medical cleaning experience are listed as pluses. A post-offer medical assessment, background screening, and drug test are required. The work involves prolonged standing and walking, frequent lifting and carrying or pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, and possible exposure to chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.

Requirements

Required flu shot.
3–5 years of Floor Tech experience.
Complete post-offer medical assessment, background screening, and drug test.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly use hands and arms to handle, feel, and reach.
Ability to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
May be exposed to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Responsibilities

Monitor assigned areas and corridors for cups, spills, paper, and debris.
Clean corners, edges, and baseboards in assigned areas.
Dust mop hard-floor areas, including behind doors and around movable objects.
Remove marks and scuffs from floors.
Damp mop floors using the assigned cleaning chemical or operate a scrubbing machine.
Use floor machines for assigned project work.
Burnish floors using a high-speed floor machine as directed.
Scrub and strip floors as needed or assigned.
May perform Area Cleaner duties.
May perform Waste Disposal Technician duties.
Perform related work as required.
